So it finally comes to this. My final blog post. Well, not my final final blog post. I do plan to leave behind some extra resources in case one of my projects breaks over the years I'm gone. Some of them are really complicated too, so I may be one of the few people who can actually understand them at a glance, but I don't wanna look down on my peers.
This has been a long week. Monday I started off with working on the Chess Clock. I had to do the buttons for the top and switching times, so I soldered wires onto the buttons and crimped on some new connectors on the ends to connect to the board. However I then realized I had a bit of a problem. My traces were coming loose, and not sticking to the board. Big problem. So on Tuesday I hot glued them down and attempted to connect everything up, but when I succeeded, it didn't end up working. Sadly, someone might have to finish this project for me.
Now onto the more happy stuff. I have basically finished the chessboard! The new ribbon cables are fully crimped and functioning as intended, and I'm so happy. This project is my pride and joy, and has been what I've strived for all year to complete.
I'm happy with what I've done this year. It was amazing, and I'm gonna miss being able to create whatever I wanted.
